Isaiah 13:6

6 aWail, for bthe day of the Lord is near;
as destruction from the Almighty
The Hebrew words for  destruction and  almighty sound alike
it will come!

Isaiah 22:12-13

12 In that day dthe Lord God of hosts
called for weeping and mourning,
for ebaldness and fwearing sackcloth;
13and behold, joy and gladness,
killing oxen and slaughtering sheep,
eating flesh and drinking wine.
g“Let us eat and drink,
for tomorrow we die.”

Jeremiah 4:8

8For this hput on sackcloth,
lament and wail,
for ithe fierce anger of the Lord
has not turned back from us.”

Ezekiel 19:2

2and say:

What was your mother? jA lioness!

Joel 1:5

are withheld from the house of your God.

Amos 6:6-7

6 vwho drink wine in bowls
and wanoint themselves with the finest oils,
but are not grieved over the ruin of Joseph!

and the revelry of those who stretch themselves out shall pass away.”

James 4:9

9 yBe wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
